4 Facebook groups to consider joining

Facebook has been such an asset to help me learn about teaching resources, curriculums, approaches, and solving difficult dilemmas. Though I am part of many groups, the four I mention below are my absolute favourite.

👉 Materials for Piano/Music Teachers

This group has an abundance of postings that list materials which are helpful for piano teaching. You’ll find games, boom cards, worksheets, videos, compositions and much more. It’s been so neat to see what people create and how many different ways a concept can be presented.

👉 Piano Teacher Canada

Though the name implies Canadians only, they do welcome teachers from around the world. A lot of the posts are about teaching challenges, instrument selection, workshops. They do have “Marketing Mondays” where you’ll find the promotional posts from teachers posting what they’ve created.

👉 Piano Teachers

There are a few groups called “Piano Teachers” which have varying numbers of members. I’m part of two at the moment, but I know there are more. These groups seem to have all kinds of teaching related questions, curriculum questions, policy dilemmas etc. There are minimal to no promotional materials allowed.

👉 Piano Teachers Gotta Have It

A group created to promote compositions, curriculums, and teaching products specific to piano. Similar to the first group I mentioned, it has lots of different products that can be used during lessons.

That’s all for now!
